½ cup baking cocoa<br />
½ cup canola oil<br />
¾ cup boiling water<br />
1¾ cup cake flour<br />
1¾ cup sugar<br />
1½ tsp baking soda<br />
1 tsp salt<br />
2 tsp vanilla extract<br />
¼ tsp cream of tartar</p>
<p><strong>For Icing:</strong></p>
<p>1/3 cup butter<br />
2 cup confectioners&#8217; sugar<br />
2 oz unsweetened chocolate (melted and cooled)<br />
1½ tsp vanilla extract<br />
4 tbsp hot water</p>

<h4>Procedure:</h4>
<p>1. Preheat oven to 325º F.<br />
2. In a small bowl make smooth paste of cocoa and water and cool it to 20 min.<br />
3. Sift together flour, sugar, baking soda and salt.<br />
4. Take another mixing bowl, whisk egg yolks, oil and vanilla till become smooth.<br />
5. Gradually add dry ingredients along with cocoa mixture and whisk until well blended.<br />
6. In another large bowl beat egg whites and cream of tartar on high speed until stiff peaks form.<br />
7. Fold the egg whites into the egg yolk mixture carefully so that the batter remain foamy and fluffy.<br />
8. Now pour the batter into a greased pan. Gently tap the pan to remove air from the batter and bake in preheated oven for 60 &#8211; 65 min or until knife inserted comes out clean.<br />
9. Meanwhile prepare icing, melt butter in a saucepan then remove from heat and stir in remaining ingredients of icing. The sauce would get smooth and slightly thick texture.<br />
10. When cake has been done, take it out from oven, cool it to room temperature and then drizzle the prepared sauce over it.</p>

<h4>Procedure:</h4>
<p>1. In a mixing bowl beat together oil and sugar until gets thick creamy texture.<br />
2. Add egg yolks and beat again at high speed.<br />
3. After that gradually add dry ingredients including flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg and fold them nicely with the batter.<br />
4. Then stir in potatoes, nuts, and vanilla and mix well.<br />
5. In a separate bowl beat egg whites till stiff peaks are formed then incorporate it with the sweet potato batter.<br />
6. Pour the batter in a greased cake pan of suitable size or pour it into cupcakes for single serving. Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 min at 350 degrees F.<br />
7. Meanwhile prepare frosting for the cake, for that you need to beat together all the ingredients mentioned for frosting and make thick creamy batter.<br />
8. When the cake has been done cool it to room temperature and then top with the prepared frosting.</p>

<p>This <strong>chocolate log</strong> recipe is prepared with simple method only ganache is used both for filling and topping while in some other chocolate logs inside whipped cream is used for filling. You can make this chocolate log for Christmas by decorating it with edible sugar flowers, tree, etc.</p>
<h4>Ingredients:</h4>
<p><strong>For Sponge:</strong></p>
<p>3 eggs<br />
75 g (3 oz) caster sugar<br />
2 tablespoons cocoa powder<br />
sifted 65 g (2 1/2 oz) plain flour, sifted</p>
<p><strong>For Ganache:</strong></p>
<p>8 oz semisweet chocolate (cut into small pieces)<br />
¾ cup heavy whipping cream<br />
1 tbsp unsalted butter</p>
<h4>Procedure:</h4>
<p>1. To prepare sponge, whisk the eggs and sugar until become light and fluffy.<br />
2. Fold the egg batter with cocoa and flour and make it smooth.<br />
3. Pour the batter into the greased Swiss roll pan and bake in preheated oven for 8-10 min at 350 degrees F.<br />
4. Meanwhile sponge is baking prepare ganache, heat the cream and butter in a saucepan over medium heat. When it starts boiling remove the pan from heat and immediately pour it over the chocolate and leave it as it is for 5 min. Stir the batter so that chocolate mix well with the cream batter and let it cool to room temperature.<br />
5. Now take out sponge from oven, place a parchment sheet onto the counter sprinkle icing sugar over it and turn the sponge onto the icing.<br />
6. Place another parchment sheet onto the top of cake and roll up tightly. Let it cool.<br />
7. After 10 min open the roll and remove parchment sheet over the sponge, spread half of the prepared ganache onto the surface of sponge. Roll it again and then pour remaining ganache over the roll to cover it from every side. Leave the chocolate log as it is in fridge to set, and then serve it after cutting into pieces.</p>

6. Now in the remaining batter add pumpkin, 4 tbsp whipping cream, ground cinnamon and ground allspice and beat again so that all ingredients incorporate well.<br />

<p>1. Preheat oven to 325 F.<br />

<h4>Procedure:</h4>
<p>1. In a mixing bowl combine butter and sugar until become fluffy and light.<br />
