A really tasty Fried Shrimps
Preparation time (approx) : 10 mins | Serves 3 persons

Fried shrimps tastes very similar to tempura but they are slightly spicy due to to addition of red chili powder to it. You can also make variations in this recipe according to your taste. These fried shrimps are a more suitable dinner item. Seafood is my weakness and when eating it as a meal, I prefer to pick only fresh seafood items.

Ingredients:

10 shrimps
1 cup plane flour
1 cup corn flour
1 egg
2 tbspn oil
1 tspn black pepper
1 tspn red chili powder
1 tspn white pepper

Procedure:

1. Make the shrimps clean (i.e. using knife take out the vein).
2. In a bowl mix plane flour, corn flour, baking powder, salt, pepper and egg, beat well.
3. Add oil in the mixture and mix well so that no bubble of oil should present in it.
4. Gradually add some water in the mixture so that the batter will become slightly thin i.e if batter is dropped out from spoon then no batter stick on the spoon.
5. Dust the shrimps in plane flour, and then dip in the mixture and then deep fry them in preheated oil for 3 minutes until they become light brown in color.

Servings:

Fried shrimps can be served with different sauces but i like these shrimps with bbq sauce.
