Podiney ki Chutney, Mint Chutney

Sauces are of many types, some of them are only used to give flavor in the food, while some are used as dip for any snack or meal and some sauces can be used for both purposes for example hot sauces like tomato ketchup, bbq sauce, pizza sauce etc. This recipe of sauce is usually served with meal or fried fish. Mostly this sauce has mint flavor, sugar and other spices. To make this recipe taste great, it is advised to only use fresh mint as well as fresh coriander.

Ingredients:


1 bunch of mint leaves
1 bunch of coriander leaves
5-6 cloves of garlic
½ cup tamarind paste
4 tbspn sugar or as required
6 green chilies

Procedure:


1. In a blender, put coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chilies and garlic cloves with very little water in it and blend it so that all the ingredients blend completely.
2. Now add tamarind paste, sugar and pinch of salt in it and blend together to make a smooth paste.

Servings:


Put the sauce in a bowl and enjoy it with rice or any other meal.
