Fried Sandwich
Preparation time : 40 mins | Serves 4-6 sandwiches
This is a different sandwich recipe as it is neither toasted nor baked, it is prepared by deep frying. The stuffing of mashed potatoes is somehow spicy but you can adjust spices according to your taste.

Ingredients:

For Stuffing:

2 cup boil potato (mashed)
½ cup onion (chopped)
Coriander leaves as required
3-4 green chilies (chopped)
1 tspn red chili powder
½ tspn black pepper
1 tspn cumin powder
Salt to taste

Medium size bread slices as required (cut the corners)

For Batter:

1/4 cup plain flour
1/4 cup cornflour
1 egg
cold water as required
1 tspn baking powder
Salt to taste

Bread Crumbs as required
Oil for deep frying

Procedure:

1. To prepare stuffing follow the steps shown in Potato Bread Recipe.
2. To make batter, combine all the ingredients mentioned for batter except water in a mixing bowl and mix using whisk to make smooth paste. If the batter is too much thick, add cold water slowly and mix so that it becomes thin. To check the consistency drop the batter from spoon if it drops easily then its ready.
3. Take a piece of bread slice, and cut into two pieces of triangular shape. Similarly cut rest of the slices.
4. Now take a triangular piece and spread potato stuffing onto one side of it using spoon. Dip that slice in prepared batter and then coat in crumbs, similarly prepare other sandwiches. Deep fry all the sandwiches one by one in preheated oil at medium heat until becomes light golden in color.
