This chicken satay with peanut sauce recipe is taken from Far Eastern cuisine like Thai cuisine. Though chicken satay alone has a wonderful taste but this yummy peanut sauce makes it more delicious and tempting.


For Chicken:

1 lb boneless chicken (cut into thin slices)
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp cumin seeds
4 garlic cloves (minced)
1 tbsp coriander seeds
Salt to taste

For Peanut Sauce:

1 cup peanuts (grinded)
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 garlic cloves
4 tbsp peanut butter
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp chili sauce
1 tbsp soya sauce
1 tsp chopped coriander leaves
1 tsp roasted cumin seeds
2 tbsp skim milk
Salt to taste


1. Marinate chicken with ingredients mentioned for chicken and then leave for at least half an hour.
2. After that insert them on shashlik sticks or wooden skewers. Heat grill pan with little oil and then grill the chicken skewers on low heat. Apply oil as required and turn sides accordingly so that chicken cooks equally from all sides.
3. To prepare peanut sauce, process together all ingredients mentioned for sauce in food processor and make smooth paste.
4. Pour this sauce onto the grilled chicken and serve immediately with pickled veggies.
