This buttermilk pie recipe is just like any custard pie. To add another flavor to the buttermilk batter you may also add chopped nuts or coconut and even addition of brown sugar makes this pie more delicious.
9-inch pie crust
3 cups sugar
1¼ stick margarine (melted)
1¼ cup buttermilk
2 tbsp flour
2 tbsp cornstarch
1¼ tsp vanilla
1. In a mixing bowl combine together margarine and sugar.
2. In a blender, blend together eggs, buttermilk and flour.
3. Now combine both mixture and vanilla and make uniform batter.
4. In a 9-inch pie dish make a layer of pie crust then pour the prepared batter in it. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees F for at least 60 min. till become light golden brown from top.
