German PizzaPreparation time : 40 min | Serves 2 persons

This German Pizza recipe is basically a cheese omelet recipe which is prepared with ground beef flavor and bed of shredded potatoes is used as thin crispy crust. You can make variations in this recipe by adding or replacing ingredients of your own choice as you do for pizza.


1 lb ground beef
½ medium onion (chopped)
½ green pepper (diced)
Salt to taste
½ tsp pepper
3 tbsp margarine
6 medium potatoes (peeled and finely shredded)
3 eggs (beaten)
1/3 cup milk
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup mozzarella cheese


1. Heat 1 tbsp margarine in a skillet and cook ground beef over medium heat with onion, green pepper, salt and pepper.
2. After 10-15 min when all the water released from beef has been dried and meat turn into slight brown in color, remove the skillet from heat and transfer the mixture onto the platter.
3. Heat remaining amount of margarine in the same skillet and spread potatoes evenly at the base of the skillet, sprinkle salt then cover the pan and cook it over low heat for 8-10 min.
4. After that spread the beef mixture over the potatoes. Whisk together eggs and milk and pour it over the beef mixture, cover and cook for 20 min until eggs and potatoes cook completely then top with shredded cheese. Delicious German Pizza is then ready to serve.
