Schezwan Fried RicePreparation time: 15 mins. | Serves 2 persons

This Schezwan Fried Rice is very much similar to typical fried rice but the addition of Schezwan sauce makes the difference. The Schezwan sauce is a spicy hot sauce of Indo-Chinese cuisine and thus the rice has some spicy flavor.

Ingredients:

2 cup cooked rice
1 tbsp Oil
2 tsp garlic paste
½ cup spring onions (finely chopped)
½ cup carrots (finely chopped)
½ cup french beans (finely chopped)
2-3 tbsp Schezwan Sauce
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp white vinegar
Salt to taste
Spring onion slices, and red pepper strips for garnishing

Procedure:

1. Heat oil in a deep saucepan or wok, add garlic, spring onions, carrots, and French beans, and cook over medium heat for just 2-3 mins.
2. Then add seasonings of Schezwan sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, and salt and mix well.
3. Add the cooked rice and toss it well with the vegetable mixture so that every ingredient mixes well.
4. Serve the hot Schezwan Fried Rice with garnishing of red peppers and spring onions.
