Chocolate Eclair Cake

This chocolate eclair cake recipe is no more like other cakes because in this recipe graham crackers are used along with pudding mix and cream filling hence its one of great dessert which need no extra skill and time, it only takes time in setting. It will give more good taste if it is refrigerated for overnight and serve next day.

Ingredient:

1 pack graham crackers
6 oz instant pudding mix (any flavor)
3 cup milk
8 oz whipped cream

For Chocolate Sauce Topping:

1 cup sugar
4 tbsp cocoa
2 tbsp milk
4 tbsp butter
1 tsp vanilla extract

Procedure:

1. In a mixing bowl, combine pudding mix, milk and whipped cream until become smooth batter.
2. Prepare chocolate sauce topping for that beat together the ingredients mentioned for the sauce and set aside make sure that batter is thicker than normal chocolate sauce.
3. Now take a wide and deep dish and make a layer of whole graham cracker at the bottom of dish and spread half of the pudding batter onto the crackers. Repeat this pattern of layer one more time and then spread the prepared chocolate sauce onto the crackers.
4. Place this dish in fridge to chill for at least an hour and then cut into pieces before serving.

    I always let mine chill overnight so that the graham crackers can soften. I also use Magic Shell for the topping instead of making my own. The eclair cake is usually the first dessert to be finished off, never leaving any leftovers! You may also want to make it with chocolate graham crackers, chocolate pudding, and chocolate cool whip.

  • Chocolate eclair cake – this was really good and I did what another poster suggested, I chilled it overnight and I think it just blends the flavors better. Of course, I had to try a slice before chilling to make sure it was good…lol :)
