Crab CakesPreparation time : 15 min | Serves 4-6 patties

This is a slightly modified recipe of the original Crab Cakes Recipe fwhich ou enjoy at your favorite Joes Crab Shack restaurant.


1 egg yolk
1/3 cup mayonnaise
2 ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
Tsp minced garlic
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp black pepper
¼ tsp crushed red pepper
¼ tsp old bay seasoning
Salt to taste
1 ¼ cup bread crumbs
3 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
1 lb ground crab meat
Flour as required for coating
Oil for deep frying


1. In a large mixing bowl combine crab meat with egg yolk, garlic, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, dry mustard, black pepper, crushed red pepper, old bay seasoning, parsley and salt.
2. Make patties of suitable size using the mixture.
3. Coat each patty with flour and bread crumbs respectively.
4. Heat oil in woke until 350 degrees F and then fry the prepared patties in it until become golden brown in color.

Note: If you feel the patty mixture is sticky, then add some bred crumbs to the mixture so that patties re easily formed.
