French Toast

Preparation time : 35 mins. | Serves 8 persons

In this recipe of baked french toast no more sugar syrup or maple syrup is used, instead of those caramel sauce is used which is prepared with brown sugar, butter and honey. Corn syrup can also be used in place of honey while making the sauce.

Ingredients:

1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 tbsp honey
5 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
1 tsp sugar
12 french bread slices

Procedure:

1. Make a caramel sauce by cooking brown sugar, butter and honey, cook them together for 5-8 mins until sugar completely melts.
2. pour this sauce in a baking dish. Spread bread slices onto this sauce.
3. Beat eggs, milk and sugar and pour it onto the slices. Place the dish in preheated oven for 25-30 mins. at 350 degrees F until the slices become light brown from top.
4. After that take it out from oven and let it cool at room temperature then serve.
