This iced tea is prepared with pineapple flavor with little bit addition of lemon juice to increase its flavor. The tea can be prepared with some other flavor as well with the same procedure.
2 ltr water
12 regular size tea bags
3 sprigs fresh mint
1⅔ cup sugar
12 oz pineapple juice
6 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
1. Take a large pot and boil water in it, then put in tea bags and mint and let it cook for 3-5 mins.
2. Then remove mint sprigs and continue to cook till water gets too dark, it would take about 20-30 mins.
3. After that remove tea bags and add sugar, pineapple and lemon juices, stirring to dissolve sugar.
4. Now pour the prepared tea into a gallon container and then add enough water to fill to the gallon level mark. Chill for at least an hour then serve iced with mint sprigs and pineapple spears if desired.
