This Chili Con Jamie recipe is one of a spicy Spanish meal mainly prepared with chilies and meat together. To prepare good flavor Chili Con you should cook it at low heat or simmer for an hour so that chili and meat combine well with other spices and give better result.


2/3 cup hot coffee
1 large dried chipotle
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp ground cumin
1 hp tsp smoked paprika
¼ tsp dried oregano
1 fresh bay leaves
1 red onion (peeled and diced)
1 red bell peppers (seeded and sliced)
1 lb lean ground beef
1 fresh chili (seeded and chopped)
½ cinnamon stick
2 cloves garlic (peeled and thinly sliced)
1/8 tsp sea salt
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
14 oz can diced tomatoes
1 tbsp dark brown sugar
15 oz can kidney beans


1. Soak dried chili in hot coffee for 5-6 min.
2. In a sauce pan heat olive oil and sauté cumin, paprika, oregano, bay leaves, onions and bell pepper for 5-10 min until pleasant roasting smell starts to come.
3. Then add ground beef and cook over medium high heat until become brown.
4. Slice the dried chili soaked in hot coffee and add it to the onion mixture along with fresh chili, cinnamon sticks, sliced garlic, a small pinch of the salt and pepper, and hot coffee, tomatoes, sugar and the beans. Cover and simmer for at least 30 min until all the ingredients incorporate well with each other and beef tender completely.
