This tomato bruschetta recipe is one of a simple and easy Italian food. You can do lots of variations in this bruschetta recipe like adding mozzarella cheese topping make it more tempting for youngsters.


1 medium loaf Italian bread (crosswise cut into 1” slices)
1 garlic clove (minced)
2 tbsp olive oil
2 large tomatoes (seeded and chopped)
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
½ cup fresh basil (chopped)


1. Toast bread slices until become light brown in color.
2. In a mixing bowl combine olive oil and garlic and then brush it over the bread slices.
3. Now spread chopped tomatoes over the bread slices and sprinkle salt, pepper and fresh basil on top.
4. Bake in preheated oven for just 20 seconds and then serve hot. It is preferable to broil the slices instead of baking so that bread would not get too dry.
