This Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes recipe is one of a very famous dish of French Cuisine. It is prepared with white sauce and cheese flavor, thus results in a creamy Gratin. It is different from that of Vegetable Gratin as its taste is more towards creamy and cheesy flavor.
4 russet potatoes (cut into thick slices)
1 onion (sliced)
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cup white sauce
1½ cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 stalk spring onion green (chopped)
1. Combine potato and onion slices in a mixing bowl and toss them with salt and pepper.
2. Now take a casserole dish, spread this onion potato mixture at the base of the dish, sprinkle half of the cheese, then pour whole white sauce over the top to cover all the ingredients and in the end spread remaining cheddar cheese on top.
3. Place the pan in preheated oven at 350 degrees F for about 20-30 mins. or until become golden brown from top and potatoes get tender.
4. Serve the hot Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes with topping of some spring onion greens.
