This recipe for caribbean chicken is prepared in two steps, at first it is baked with the marinade, then cook it further in slow cooker. Thats why it takes longer time to prepare but in the end the chicken drummies would be awesome and is usually served with rice or fresh vegies.


½ cup pineapple juice
½ cup ketchup
½ cup brown sugar
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp water
¾ tsp Worcestershire sauce
¾ tsp white vinegar
¾ tsp vegetable oil
1 tsp dried onion flakes
⅛ tsp garlic powder
⅛ tsp grated fresh ginger
¼ cup honey
2 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
2 lb chicken drumsticks


1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. In a sauce pan combine all ingredients except chicken and let the mixture boils.
3. Place chicken in a baking pan, pour the prepared sauce over it and bake for about an hour. Don’t forget to change the position of chicken while baking, do it at least 2-3 times.
4. After an hour when chicken is ¾ done, take it out from oven and transfer it in slow cooker. Cover and keep it on Low heat setting for up to 2 hours till chicken tenders completely.
