Broccoli Fritters

Preparation time : 15 mins. | serves 1 large platter

This Broccoli Fritters recipe is one of a quick and easy snack and is prepared in South Asian style. There are two methods to prepare these fritters either fry broccoli florets dipped in the spicy batter ot chopped broccoli in the spicy batter and then drip it into the oil. Both method result in yummy spicy fritters which is a good and healthy snack.


2 cup broccoli (cut into florets)
1 cup graham flour
2 tsp rice flour
¼ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp cumin seeds
½ tsp chili powder
¼ tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp crushed coriander seeds
¼ tsp baking soda
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying


1. Combine together all ingredients except broccoli in a mixing bowl and make a smooth paste using chilled water. The consistency will be medium or just like pancake batter.
2. Heat oil for deep frying in a wok, dip each florets into the batter to coat batter around the whole floret and then fry in batches.
3. When florets get crispy golden brown, take them out into the platter and serve with spicy green chutney or ketchup.
