Chicken MarylandPreparation time : 20 mins. + 30 mins. marinating time | Serves 2 persons

This Chicken Maryland Recipe is a kind of fried chicken which is served with fried fruits. The chicken is also served with white sauce topping.


For Marinade:

1 boneless chicken breast (cut into thick strips)
1 tbsp Worcester sauce
½ tsp salt
½ tsp white pepper
½ tsp mustard powder

For Batter:

½ cup flour
1 egg
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp mustard powder
½ tsp white pepper
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp sugar
Milk (as required)

For Serving:

1 large banana (sliced)
1 large peach (cut into wedges)
French fries


1. Marinate chicken breast with the ingredients mentioned for marinade and leave for 30 mins.
2. Meanwhile prepare batter for chicken for that combine ingredients for batter except milk and mix well.
3. Then slowly add milk to make smooth batter of medium consistency,
4. Heat oil for shallow frying in a pan, dip marinated chicken in the prepared batter and then put them into the preheated oil.
5. When the chicken strips turn into nice golden brown and crisp take them out from oil.
6. In the remaining batter dip the banana slices and peach wedges and fry them till become crunchy.
7. Serve the hot and crisp Chicken Maryland with fries, fried banana and peaches.
